2:12 You can present them to the Lord as an offering of first fruit, ¹  but they must not go up to the altar for a soothing aroma.

Imamat 22:19

22:19 if it is to be acceptable for your benefit ²  it must be a flawless male from the cattle, sheep, or goats.

Imamat 23:2

23:2 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them, ‘These are the Lord’s appointed times which you must proclaim as holy assemblies – my appointed times: ³ 

[2:12]  ¹ sn The “first fruit” referred to here was given to the priests as a prebend for their service to the Lord, not offered on the altar (Num 18:12).

[23:2]  sn The term מוֹעֵד (mo’ed, rendered “appointed time” here) can refer to either a time or place of meeting. See the note on “tent of meeting” (אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד, ’ohel mo’ed) in Lev 1:1.
